Description
A shrub. It grows 3-4 m tall. The branches are slender and have prickles about 3 mm long. The leaves are oblong and 6-7 cm long by about 4 cm wide. The flowers are in the axils of leaves or at the ends of branches. They are small and about 1.3 cm across. They have 5 white petals. The fruit is round and about 2.5 cm long by 3.5 cm wide. They can be smooth or have slight lobes. They have a thin skin and it turns yellow when ripe. The juice is bitter. The seeds are 1 cm long by 6 mm wide.

The fruit is edible.
Distribution
It Taiwan it grows in forests at low altitudes.

There are 20 Citrus species. Several hybrids have been formed.
