Description

A tree. It grows 25 m all. The trunk is 60 cm across. The bark has shallow cracks. The fruit are round and yellow. They are 1.5 cm across. The seed are in a sweet edible pulp.

Edible Uses

The fruit are eaten fresh, particularly by children.

Distribution

It is a tropical plant. It grows in the forest on soils that are often waterlogged.
