Tillandsia australis is a species in the genus Tillandsia. This species is native to Bolivia.

Description

A perennial epiphytic herb in the Bromeliaceae family that grows on other plants. It is found in subtropical regions, particularly in Argentina between 700–3,900 m elevation.

Edible Uses

The shoots are eaten.

Distribution

It is a subtropical plant. In Argentina it grows between 700-3,900 m above sea level.
