Description
A small shrub. It lies along the ground. It grows 20 cm tall. It has underground stems or rhizomes. The leaves are oblong to oval and broadest above the middle. They are 0.6-1.5 cm long by 0.3-0.6 cm wide. The fruit are 4-6 mm across and blue-black.
Edible Uses
The fruit is edible.
Distribution
It is a tropical plant. It grows in cloud forests between 1,650-2,500 m above sea level in southern Brazil.
