Description

A tree. It grows 5-15 m tall. The leaves are oblong and 7-15 cm long by 3-6 cm wide. They are pale green underneath. The flowers occur singly in the axils of the leaves. They are 2-3 cm across. The petals are white.

Edible Uses

The flowers are edible.

Distribution

It is a tropical plant. It grows in forests on hill slopes and valleys between 1,000-2,000 m above sea level. In Yunnan.
