Description
A tree. It grows 15 m tall. The trunk is straight and 35 cm across. The bark is flaky. The leaves are compound. They are arranged alternately or in spirals. There are 3-8 pairs of leaflets. These are 4 cm long by 3 cm wide. They have a long pointed tip. There is one leaflet at the end. The male and female flowers are separate. They are small and greenish yellow in clusters or 2-15 flowers. The fruit are oval and 4 cm long by 2 cm wide. They are yellowish and have one seed.
Edible Uses
The fruit is edible.
Distribution
It is a tropical plant. It grows in humid and dry woodlands from sea level to 1,500 m above sea level.
