Description

A tree. The leaves have 4 pairs of leaflets. The larger ones are 15 cm long. The fruit is a long pod. Itis 20 cmlong by 2.5 cm thick. The pulp is edible.

Edible Uses

The fruit pulp is edible and can be consumed fresh from the pod.

Distribution

It is a tropical plant.

Central America, Honduras, Peru, South America,

Cultivation

Plants grow easily from seeds. Seeds germinate in 1-2 weeks given moisture and shade.
