Phyllostachys prominens is a species of bamboo found in Jiangsu, Zhejiang provinces of China

Description

A bamboo. It grows 10 m tall. The culms are 7 cm across. The internodes are 22 cm long. There are 2-4 leaves on the last branch The leaf blade is 9-18 cm long by 1-2 cm wide.

Edible Uses

The shoots are eaten and are enjoyed fresh.

Distribution

It is a temperate plant.
