Description
A spindly shrub. It grows 3-6 m tall. The branches are long and arching. The leaves are large and alternate. They are drooping. They are a dull dark green above and more pale underneath. The flowers are thick and fleshy and orange to yellow. The fruit are purple, juicy and edible.
Edible Uses
The fruit are eaten for their sweet pulp.
Distribution
It is a tropical plant. It grows in dry forest.
