Description

A herb. It keeps growing from year to year. It grows 60 cm tall. It is usually hairy. The leaves are narrow and 2-10 cm long by 0.3-3 cm wide. The flowers are in dense heads. The fruit is round and woody.

Edible Uses

The leaves are eaten.

Distribution

It is a tropical plant. It has been recorded between 20-1,650 m above sea level.
