Description

A herb that keeps growing from year to year. It has a single stem 40-120 cm tall. The leaves on the stem are alternate and oval. They are 3-13 cm long by 2-9 cm wide. There are teeth along the edge. The flowers are blue, purple or white.

Edible Uses

The leaves and roots are eaten.

Distribution

It is a temperate plant. It grows in Inner Mongolia in China. It grows on grassy slopes below 2,400 m above sea level.
