Psittacanthus schiedeanus (Schltdl. & Cham.) G.Don is a species of Neotropical mistletoe in the family Loranthaceae, which is native to Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras and Mexico.

Description

A mistletoe. It grows attached to other plants. It grows 1-2 m tall. The stems are 4 sided and flattened at the nodes. The leaves are bluish-green and are 20 cm long by 8 cm wide. The flowers are yellow to orange. They are at the end of the plant. The fruit is a berry.

Edible Uses

The fruit are eaten.

Distribution

It is a tropical plant.
