Description
A tree. It grows 15 m tall. The trunk can be 21 cm across. The bark is grey and flaky with cracks along it. The leaves are in spirals and are broadly sword shaped. They taper to the base. The edges are wavy. The flowers are greenish-white and in groups. The fruit are oval and black when ripe. The seeds are oval.
Edible Uses
The ripe fruit is eaten.
Distribution
It is a tropical plant. It grows in Sabah in Borneo. It grows in mixed forests between 1,000-1,500 m above sea level.
