Description

A succulent herb. It keeps growing from year to year, There is a cluster of long fleshy roots. There is one stem. It grows 60 cm tall. There are soft hairs. The leaves are oval and 4 cm long by 3 mm wide. The flowers occur singly.

Edible Uses

The tubers and roots are edible.

Distribution

It is a subtropical plant. It grows in damp situations at high altitudes.
