A bamboo. It grows 3-6 m tall. The culms are 1-2 cm across. The internodes are 21-25 cm long. There are 10-40 branches at each node. There are 1 or 2 leaves at the last branch. The leaf blade is 4-10 cm long by 5-9 mm wide.
Edible Uses
The shoots are eaten.
Distribution
It is a temperate plant. It grows in Sichuan in China between 1,600-1,900 m altitude.
