A bamboo. It grows 4-8 m high and the culms are 2-5 cm across. The internodes are 25-45 cm long. There are 3-18 branches at each node. There are 2 or 3 leaves on the end branch. The leaf blades are 7-10 cm long by 1-2 cm wide.
Edible Uses
The shoots are eaten.
Distribution
It is a subtropical plant. It grows in Yunnan in China between 2,900-3,200 m altitude. In Yunnan.
