Description
A shrub. It grows in the soil or attached to other plants. It grows 2 m tall. The branches are long and straggling. The leaves are stiff, leathery and shiny green. The flowers are in large heads and have violet to blue bracts. The flowers have a strong scent.
Edible Uses
The fruit are edible and sold in local markets.
Distribution
It is a tropical plant. It grows between 1,000-2,000 m above sea level.
