Description

A herb. It keeps growing from year to year. It can be climbing. It can be 2.4 m long. It often forms roots at the nodes. The stems have short spreading hairs. The leaves have 3 narrowly oval leaflets. These are 2-8 cm long by 1-5 cm wide. The pods are round and have one seed. They are 2-3.5 cm long by 7 mm wide. The seed is 1-1.2 cm long by 8 mm wide.

Edible Uses

The roots are edible.

Distribution

It is a tropical plant. It grows in grassland and open bushland between 900-1,650 m above sea level.
