Mimusops riparia is a species of plant in the family Sapotaceae. It is found in Kenya and Tanzania.

Description

A tree. It grows 20 m tall. The leaves are simple and alternate. They are wedge shaped at the base and tape to the tip. The flowers are cream and in clusters in the axils of leaves. They have a scent. The fruit are almost round and yellow to red. The fruit are 3.5 cm across.

Edible Uses

The fruit are eaten.

Distribution

It is a tropical plant. It grows in forests along rivers.
