Watsonia watsonioides is a plant belonging to the genus Watsonia. The species is native to Mpumalanga and Eswatini.

Description

A herb. It is slender and grows about 1 m high. The leaves are usually a little longer than the flowers. The leaves are stiff with a hard midrib and edges. The flower spike is 30 cm long. Flowers are white cream or yellow.

Edible Uses

The leaves, corm, and root are edible.

Distribution

It is a subtropical plant.
