Description

A herb. It keeps growing from year to year. It grows 40-80 cm tall. The stems are erect and 4 sided. The leaves have leaflets. These are broadly oval and 20-30 mm long by 15-25 mm wide. The flowers are in groups of 5-8 and are yellow with purple stripes. The pod is oblong and 12-18 mm long by 5-9 mm wide.

Edible Uses

The plant is eaten.

Distribution

It is a cool temperate plant. It grows in meadows near pine forests between 1,200-2,000 m above sea level.
