Description
An evergreen shrub. It grows 2-2.7 m high. The leaves are narrowly oval and 20 cm long. They are glossy green with yellow coloured veins. The flowers are tube shaped and bright yellow. It has small lobes. These are rolled back tightly. The bracts are small and pointed. They are green with red flecks. They enclose the base of one or two flowers.
Distribution
A tropical plant. It suits hardiness zones 10-11. It needs a fertile, well drained soil. It does best in full sun.
