Description

A shrub of the Melastomataceae family growing to approximately 1 m tall with slender woody branches, found in forest undergrowth up to 1,100 m elevation in tropical regions.

Edible Uses

The leaves are eaten.

Distribution

A tropical plant. It grows in undergrowth in forests. It grows up to 1,100 m above sea level.
