Description

A tree up to 25 m tall. The branches are scattered and hairy but become smooth with age. It loses its leaves during the year.

Distribution

It is a tropical plant. It grows from 200 m to 1,500 m above sea level. It grows in drier savannah areas.

Notes

There are 145-150 Albizia species. They grow in the tropics and subtropics. Also as Mimosaceae.
