A climber, it is typically found in mountain forests, at elevations from 2,100 to 2,800 m (6,900 to 9,200 ft). Its fruit is edible and is collected in the wild by local peoples.
Description
A pumpkin family herb. The stems can be slightly hairy. The leaves have leaflets. The middle leaflet is 4-6 cm long by 1.5-2 cm wide. The side leaflets are shorter. The fruit are pale green and shaped like a top. They are 12-16 mm long by 8-11 mm wide.
Edible Uses
The fruit are eaten.
Distribution
It is a subtropical plant. It grows in the mountains between 2,100-2,800 m above sea level.
