Description

A herb. The stems are twining and the internodes are 6-17 cm apart. The leaves are narrowly oval and 4-7 cm long by 2-4 cm wide. The base is rounded. The flowers are purple. The fruit capsule is narrowly oval and 3 cm long. The seeds are light brown and 3 sided.

The leaves and flowers are used as a vegetable, and the fruit is eaten raw.
