Boscia arabica is a species of plant in the Capparaceae family. It is found in Oman and Yemen. It is threatened by habitat loss.

Description

A small tree. It grows 5 m tall. The crown is flat topped. Young branches have fine hairs. The leaves are in spirals on short side shoots. They are 8-30 mm long by 3-12 mm across. The tip is rounded. The flowers are in groups of 4-10 and are yellow. The fruit are oval and have several seeds.

Edible Uses

The ripe fruit is eaten after removing the pip (seed).

Traditional Uses

The ripe fruit are eaten but the pip is removed.
