Description

A climbing plant. It grows 4 m long. It is woody. The young branches are hairy. The leaves are oval and 5-16 cm and 2-7 cm wide. They are hairy underneath. The flowers are opposite the leaves and the flower hangs down.

Edible Uses

The stems are used as a source of water and as a flavouring.

Distribution

It is a tropical plant.
