Nemesia floribunda is a species of flowering plant in the family Scrophulariaceae. It is called by the common names Cape Jewels and Fleshy Nemesia and is an erect annual dicotyledon herb that is native to South Africa, but has naturalized elsewhere. It is commonly cultivated by home gardeners.

Description

A herb. It grows 15-38 cm tall. The stems are branched from the base. The leaves are oval and 6-43 mm long by 1-17 mm wide. There can be teeth along the edge. The flowers occur as many in a loose group 2.5-12.8 cm long.

Edible Uses

The leaves and plant are edible.

Distribution

It is a subtropical plant.
