Ferocactus peninsulae is a barrel cactus in the genus Ferocactus of the family Cactaceae.

Description

A large ribbed barrel cactus. It can grow 2.5 m tall. It has 12-20 ribs. The fruit are round and yellow and 2.5-3.5 cm long.

It is a subtropical plant. In Mexico it grows up to 450 m above sea level.
