Description

A bamboo or rattan. The stems are 10-15 m long and 2-4 cm thick. The internodes are 20-40 cm long. The nodes have a ring of white powder. The leaves are 12-22 cm long and 2-4 cm wide.

Edible Uses

The young shoots are eaten.

Distribution

It is a tropical plant.
