Description
A woody herb or shrub. It grows 3 m tall. The leaves are narrowly oval and vary in shape. There can be lobes and there can be teeth along the edge. The leaves are 11-34 cm long by 4-13 cm wide. The flowering shoots are in the axils of leaves and 5-35 cm long. The flowers are in clusters.

The leaves and flowers are edible.
Distribution
It is a subtropical plant. It grows in forests in shady places.
