Description

A small shrub. It grows 10-20 cm tall. It has underground stems or rhizomes. The mature stems are angled and have lines along them. The leaves are oval and 3-7 cm long by 2-4 cm wide. There are rounded teeth along the edge. The fruit are 5-8 mm across and blue-black.

Edible Uses

The fruit are eaten.

Distribution

It is a tropical plant. It grows between 2,800-3,600 m above sea level.
