A tropical tree in the Myrtaceae family, producing edible fruit.

Edible Uses

Fruit. A secondary food for the indiginous Ka'apor people. The yellow to purplish-red or black, subglobose to ellipsoid fruit is around 10mm in diameter, containing a single seed.

Distribution

It is a tropical plant.
