Description

A tree. It grows 4-5 m tall. The trunk is 10 cm across. The leaves are 15-25 cm long and 10 cm wide. Young leaves are red. The flowers are white and on the trunk and branches. The fruit are 2-3 cm long and red.

Edible Uses

The fruit is eaten.

Distribution

It is a tropical plant. It grows towards the south of the large island of New Caledonia.
