Source: WikipediaStachytarpheta urticifolia, the nettleleaf velvetberry or dark blue snakeweed, is a species of lavender plant in the verbena family. In some countries it is considered as an invasive weed.
Description
A small shrub. It keeps growing from year to year. It can grow 1.5 m tall. The leaves are 4-12 cm long by 2-8 cm wide. They are oval and opposite.
Edible Uses
The ripe dried fruit are eaten, particularly by children.
Distribution
It is a tropical plant.
