Description

A medium sized tree. It can grow 40 m tall It has rough fibrous bark. Adult leaves are alternate and 9-18 cm long by 1-3 cm wide. They taper towards the leaf stalk. The flower buds are in groups of 7 and are white.

Edible Uses

The leaves are used as a flavouring.

Distribution

It is a warm temperate plant.
