Description
A shrub that grows attached to other plants. The leaves are small and scale like and lack green material. The young stems are compressed. The flowers are of one sex. The male flowers are few and are in the upper part of the flowering arrangement. The fruit and flowers when ripe are orange.
Edible Uses
The fruit are edible.
Distribution
It is a tropical plant. It grows on trees in dry areas in the Andes.
