Description
A herb that keeps growing from year to year. It grows 60 cm tall. The leaves are opposite and have teeth around the edges. The leaves are arrow shaped. The flowers are in a group and have pink petals. The fruit is a dry capsule.

Distribution
It is a tropical plant. It grows over fertile soils in humid areas. In Ecuador it grows between 1,500-4,000 m above sea level.
