Description

An erect herb. The stems are rounded and covered with hairs. The leaves are green and smooth on the upper surface and whitish and hairy underneath. The flowers are yellow.

Edible Uses

The leaves and flowers are brewed as tea, and the fruit is used as a flavouring.

Distribution

It is a tropical plant. It grows in the Andes between 2,200-3,600 m above sea level.
