Description
A herb which keeps growing from year to year. It is like a sow-thistle. It has a taproot. There are a ring of leaves at the base. There is a thin stem 20-60 cm tall. This has a golden-yellow flower head. It is 1 cm across.
Edible Uses
Hypochaeris chillensis is used as medicinal plant in Brazil. The leaves and roots are edible either raw or cooked.
Traditional Uses
The leaves are eaten as a salad.
