Description
A mistletoe. It grows attached to trees. It has been recorded on candle nut, Canariums, mangoes and figs. It is a shrub 2 m tall. The young parts are hairy. The leaf blades are swrod shaped and 5-15 cm long by 3-10 cm wide. They are thickly leathery. The fruit is a red berry 8-10 mm long by 5-6 mm wide.
Edible Uses
The red fruit are eaten.
Distribution
It is a tropical plant. It grows in humid forests between 100-1,600 m in southern China.
