Description

A herb. It keeps growing from year to year. It grows 25-75 cm tall. It has a tuberous rhizome. The nutlets are grey with darker stripes along them.

Edible Uses

The fruit and seeds are used as spice.

Distribution

It is a tropical plant. It grows in seasonally dry areas.
