Description

A large shrub. It can be 5 m tall. The leaves are 10 cm long by 7 cm wide. The base is heart shaped and they taper to the tip. They are oval and have brown felt underneath. There are fine teeth along the edge. The flowering arrangements are very slender and in groups of 30 flowers. They are 5 cm long. The flowers are pale yellow. The fruit is a capsule 5-6 mm across.

Distribution

It is a subtropical plant. In NE India it grow in pine forests at higher elevations.
