Description

A shrub. It has long branches up to 9 m long. There are scattered prickles. The leaves are 8-17 cmlong. There are 7-9 leaflets. These are 3-4 cm long by 1-3 cm wide. The fruit or hips are oval and deep red. They are 1-1.5 cm long by 1 cm wide.

Distribution

It is a temperate plant. In China it grows beside streams between 1,000-3,000 m above sea level. In Sichuan and Yunnan.
