Description

A sedge of the Cyperaceae family with approximately 2000 species worldwide. Sedges grow in clumps with grass-like leaves and solid stalks, found in temperate regions.

Distribution

It is a temperate plant.

North America, USA,

Notes

There are about 2000 Carex species. There are 200 species in tropical America.
