Description
A tree. It grows 10-30 m tall. The leaves have long leaf stalks. They are 5-10 cm long. The leaves are rough and narrowly oval. They are wedge shaped or round at the base and taper to a narrow tip. The leaves are 15-25 cm long by 8-12 cm wide. There can be teeth or small lobes near the tip They are dull and dark green above and silvery underneath. The flowers are in pyramid shaped groups at the ends of branches. These are 25-30 cm long.
Edible Uses
The seeds are edible.
Distribution
It is a tropical plant. It grows in forests.
