A herb. It keeps growing from year to year. It has a tuber 6 cm across. There are 4-5 stems. These are hairy. The leaves are narrow and 3-4 cm long by 3-4 mm wide. They taper to both ends. There can be a few flowers in a group.
Edible Uses
The tubers and roots are eaten.

It is a subtropical plant.
