Description

A bamboo. It grows 8 m high. The culms are 5 cm across. The internodes are 40-50 cm long. There are 4-6 leaves on the last branch. The leaf blade is 13-22 cm long by 1-2 cm wide.

Edible Uses

The shoots are harvested for food and are notably sweet.

Distribution

A subtropical plant.
