Description

A bamboo or rattan. It grows 2 m tall. The culms are 8 mm across. The internodes are 25-30 cm long. There is one leaf on the last branch. The leaf blade is 12-17 cm long by 1-2 cm wide. It is pale green underneath.

Edible Uses

The shoots are eaten.

Distribution

It is a subtropical plant. It grows in Hunan in China near streams.
